As the nation’s second-largest seafood supplier, Louisiana produces more than 850 million pounds of seafood each year and is the largest commercial fishery in the contiguous U.S. In addition, Louisiana’s seafood industry is one of the state’s largest employers and plays a major role in tourism by connecting food lovers with the delicious products that come straight from the Gulf.

The Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board was created to support Louisiana’s world-class seafood industry and to support the industry through programs that encourage the use of Louisiana seafood by consumers and commercial interests.
