Steve Green is the founder and CEO #FoodieChats, the No. 1 trending food conversation on Twitter. What he started as a single tweet in 2011 turned into a worldwide online and live social foodie community. The #Foodiechats community has grown to 300K tweets and more than 40K attendees in 2014, and every Monday night, they come out in full force for a 90-minute chat. The conversation continues throughout the week, as community members eat, tweet, Instagram and meet with new foodies. Also with the new #Foodiechats app, Steve connects foodies with foodies, brands with foodies and restaurants with foodies.
Steve is an extremely enthusiastic and passionate person who has a zest for life, and food. His love of food began as a child, growing up in Chicago with themed family dinner nights, and as a teenager working at the Taste of Chicago, his grandfather’s hot dog restaurant.
Steve has spent years building his online communities and people are consistently sharing that they have made connections through #Foodiechats. He has hosted chats in cities nationwide, including with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand at the 2015 South Beach Wine & Food Festival. When he’s at home in Chicago, Steve enjoys being in the kitchen to experience new recipes and dishes, all while tweeting and instagraming what he’s enjoying.
