Steve Green is the founder and CEO of #Foodiechats, the No. 1 trending food conversation on Twitter. What started as a single tweet in 2011 turned into a worldwide online and live social foodie community. The #Foodiechats community grew to 300,000 tweets and more than 40,000 attendees in 2014. Every Monday night, members come out in full force for a 90-minute chat, and the conversation continues throughout the week as community members eat, tweet, Instagram and meet new foodies. Also with the new #Foodiechats app, Green connects foodies with foodies, brands with foodies and restaurants with foodies.
Green is an extremely enthusiastic and passionate person with a zest for life and food. His love of food began as a child, growing up in Chicago with themed family dinner nights, and as a teenager working at the Taste of Chicago, his grandfather’s hot dog restaurant.
Green has spent years building his online communities, and people are consistently sharing that they have made connections through #Foodiechats. He has hosted chats in cities nationwide, including with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand at the 2015 South Beach Wine & Food Festival. When he’s at home in Chicago, Green enjoys being in the kitchen and experiencing new recipes and dishes, all while sharing what he's enjoying on Twitter and Instagram.
