Dominique is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina with a degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management and Food and Beverage. She has worked at Restaurant August in New Orleans and as a manager and assistant wine director at Blue Restaurant and Bar in Charlotte, NC. She has completed 2 levels of wine certification through the International Sommelier Guild along with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust’s levels 1 and 2.

 

In August 2012 Dominique returned home to run Café Dominique in downtown Houma with her mother Donna Chabert-Malbrough, and in February 2014, she became owner of Dominique’s Wine Boutique and Bistro, combining her passion for food and wine.
