Originally from North Florida, Sarah has spent the past decade working in the NYC culinary world. Along the way, she has developed school garden curriculums, obtained a masters degree in Food Studies from New York University, and worked in merchandising for FoodKick by FreshDirect (the only on-demand grocery delivery service in NYC).

Sarah joined the James Beard Foundation in 2014 where she managed the James Beard Awards and other foundation events. Her current role at JBF is an Impact Programs Manager, where she manages the Smart Catch program, as well as Impact partnerships that support sustainability initiatives.  Smart Catch is a sustainable seafood program created by chefs for chefs with the purpose of increasing the sustainability of the seafood supply chain.
