Brooke Bell is the editor of Birmingham, Alabama-based Hoffman Media’s Taste of the South magazine and the editorial director of Louisiana Cookin’ magazine. Prior to joining Hoffman Media, Bell was a managing editor at Grand View Media Group while attending culinary school and working as a freelance food writer. She joined Hoffman Media in 2007 as a food editor before taking the helm at Taste of the South.

Bell is a member of the Southern Foodways Alliance and Les Dames d’Escoffier International. She is also a founding member and president of the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama’s junior board. When she’s not traveling around the South, producing food stories and meeting deadlines, Bell spends her time playing tennis, tending her backyard garden and entertaining family and friends.
