THE OVERPASS MERCHANT

 

 

I was raised in southern Louisiana and have loved food since an early age. As a person raised in an impoverished household, I learned how to play with unique ingredients to elevate flavors and get creative. I cooked my whole childhood and after attending college for a few years I left my major university to follow my passion for the culinary arts. I have been cooking for 15 years now and love the industry. Both of my parents were professional artists, and the rest of my family is in the science field. I find culinary arts to be the perfect balance between the two. I graduated from the Louisiana culinary institute, have worked in several restaurants between New Orleans and Baton rouge, and am excited to see what the future holds. For me the kitchen industry is a way of life, and I am always excited to inspire those with the same passion.
