Chef Nealy Frentz 2024 Covington LOLA Nealy Frentz is a talented chef and co-owner of LOLA, a restaurant located in Covington, Louisiana. Along with her husband, Keith Frentz, they opened LOLA’s doors in January 2006. Before that, both Nealy and Keith held Sous chef positions at the world-famous Brennan’s Restaurant in New Orleans. Their dreams of owning a successful restaurant came true when they evacuated to Covington after Hurricane Katrina and one year later, LOLA was born. The restaurant is situated in the city’s historic train depot, with the kitchen located in an actual train caboose, making it a unique dining experience. Nealy and Keith are passionate about supporting local farmers and seafood suppliers, keeping their menu fresh and local. They’ve received numerous awards and recognition, including being named “Chefs to Watch” by Louisiana Cookin’ magazine in 2009, winning the Louisiana Seafood Cook-off, and representing Louisiana in the Great American Seafood Cook-off. Nealy even competed on the Food Network show “Chopped”, showcasing her culinary skills.
