Chef Matt Brusca 2025 Virgina Alewife Chef Matthew Brusca is the CDC at Alewife in Richmond, Virginia, where they specialize in seafood from the Chesapeake Bay. In his last sixteen years in the industry, he graduated from culinary school, worked with James Beard nominated and awarded Chefs, and has been featured in local magazines. His passion for cooking has always stemmed back to his family. As a child his mother told him many stories about his grandparent’s seafood restaurant in Long Island and he was always by his father’s side while he worked in Italian Bakeries and Delis. Chef Matthew is super excited to be representing Virginia in the 21st Annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off!
