Chef Chase Woodard 2024 Louisiana Parish Restaurant A native of northeast Louisiana Chase was drawn to cooking from an early age. Raised in the outdoors of sportsman‘s Paradise by a family who hunted fished and cooked together. Family & hospitality is at the center of everything that is meaningful to Chase. The smells of duck gumbo and catfish courtboullion filled my childhood and cultivated my love for food. In 2015 I moved to New Orleans to start my culinary career, and landed at Mopho with chef Mike Gulotta The two years I spent there mentored by Chef Gulotta laid the foundation for the knowledge I have today and furthered my passion for Louisiana flavors with Southeast Asian influences. My next career move was to Josephine Estelle at the Ace Hotel. There I was able to work with new and exciting ingredients and expand on different techniques and Italian flavors under the guidance of Chef Chris Borges. When the opportunity presented itself to come back to Northeast Louisiana, I took it! Currently, I am working with Chef Cory Bahr at Parish Restaurant Where we explore the cuisine of the Delta region of Louisiana and cross boundaries of cuisines from around the world. Every day I strive to push myself and help lead our team into what I know is our bright future of serving delicious dishes to the city of Monroe & Northeast Louisiana.
