Chef David Bancroft, Set to Represent Alabama in Great American Cook-Off

AUBURN, Alabama -- Chef David Bancroft, ofAuburn's Acre restaurant, will represent the state of Alabama in the 11th annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off.

The Great American Seafood Cook-Off, which is set for Aug. 2 in New Orleans, is an annual cooking competition that pits numerous states against each other in one of the country's biggest seafood showdowns.

Auburn Chef to Represent State in National Seafood Event

Chef David Bancroft of the restaurant Acre in Auburn has been selected to represent the state of Alabama in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off (GASCO), an annual cooking competition that pits numerous states against each other in one of the country's biggest seafood showdowns. Homer Chef to Compete in Seafood Cook-Off

Well-known Homer chef Chef Mandy Dixon will represent Alaska in the 11th annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in New Orleans.

Dardenne, Seafood Board Set Cook-Off for August

(AP) The best seafood chef in the nation will be crowned Saturday, Aug. 2, in New Orleans when the 11th annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off is held.

Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board on Monday announced the competition won last year by Mississippi chef David Crews. It will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Read more.
