BOILED
CRABS
Ingredients:
kettle
water
4 tbsp. Liquid crab boil
½ cup salt
½ cup vinegar
4 dozen beautiful, live, Louisiana blue crabs
Serves: 4
In your kettle, pour water, add crab boil, salt & vinegar and
bring to a rolling boil. Add crabs. Bring to a rolling boil again
and boil for 15 minutes. Turn off burner and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
Remove crabs (remove basket or strainer), serve on trays, a dozen/tray.
Traditionally, boiled crabs are eaten on picnic tables covered with
newspaper. |
